Stop worrying, just keep building software

August 11, 2008

Personally, I think quality is more important than quantity. But after reading “Quantity always trumps quality” from blog “Coding Horror”, I need to rethink the relationship between quality and quantity.

In fact, you don’t separate these two when you are building software. At the beginning you just write some codes, given that you understand the problem needs to be solved. After completion of coding, polish them until you are satisfied.

You don’t just stop here, but you continue the above iteration over and over again, until the project is “completed”.

In this way, you combine quantity and quality in a good manner, while building software. If you keep worrying whether you do the right thing, there is no way for you to start it.
